A Messy Kind of GRACE: Preface
His name was Harry.
He had beautiful brown eyes, a kind soul, and a big heart.
He was my husband, my best friend, my biggest supporter, my quick-witted banter buddy.
Tragically, he passed away just months before I turned fifty.
Ten years earlier, the day before I turned forty, he was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease.

An Interview With the Author
Book launch interview with Joe Hromco, PhD (psychologist, professor, author)
Joe and I discuss my decision to write a memoir, and I share where I was when I announced my intent to publish a book.
We talk about how my writing style changed significantly throughout the process, and how much I learned about the book and publishing industry.
I describe my memoir endeavor as incredibly cathartic and instrumental in my grief journey.

Life Untethered Travel Blog
Four years after Harry was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease, we sold our possessions and backpacked around South America for ten months.
The following blog posts showcase three of our incredible adventures. But, they only tell one side of the story. Harry didn’t want me writing about Parkinson’s.
In my book, I rewrote these three entries to reveal the full story of how, during our travels, Parkinson’s began to negatively impact the choices we made. I share raw, behind-the-scenes details of our choices and struggles.
